IN-PERSON FACILITATION
In addition to their experience in Nonprofit, Corporate, Warehouse, and Transportation environments, Kevin has also music directed individuals and ensembles in plays and musicals at off-Broadway venues The Public Theater, York Theater, Symphony Space, and Actors’ Temple, and has taught sketch comedy writing through a program in partnership with NYC’s Magnet Theater. A classically trained competition pianist and singer (IU Jacobs School of Music, ranked #1 voice school in the US by Classical Singer), Kevin is as comfortable speaking and performing solo in front of thousands at stadiums and theaters as they are bombing a stand up comedy set in front of an audience of ten or less (but let's be honest…it’s usually less).
CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE ADULT LEARNING
KEVIN: “According to Dr. Malcolm Knowles’ Fourth Principle of Adult Learning, adult learners are relevancy-oriented. As I was getting to know my students as an education volunteer teaching English in Rwanda (2009–2011), I discovered that many of them sang weekly in church choirs and were highly motivated to learn to sight-read music. By using English as the language mode to teach students solfège, I removed the unhelpful pressure to speak ‘perfect English’ by shifting the conscious focus to something fun for them, making their language learning experience project-based and desirable. I also discovered some great Rwandan pop music as I transcribed my student's’ favorite songs from the radio for assignments, which was a cool bonus.”

REMOTE TRAINING (SYNCHRONOUS)
While partnering with NYC Community Schools during the summer of 2020, Kevin designed a fully remote hybrid synchronous/asynchronous program curriculum and co-facilitated on Zoom and Edmodo with a team of SUNY student interns, whom they supervised. Kevin has also co-produced live and pre-recorded streaming events with leading NYC-based comedy collectives on Meta, YouTube, Twitch, and other platforms.
ONE-ON-ONE COACHING
Here is what some of Kevin’s past voice clients have said about their approach to one-on-one coaching:
“Kevin is extremely nurturing and patient and always gives the best tips to make my songs sound their best. Kevin worked with me on technique and placement, and especially for an actor who sings, it never felt daunting or overwhelming. I love working with Kevin!” —Mirirai Sithole

“I love working with Kevin. I hadn’t trained for a few years and was looking for someone who could guide me to finding my voice and my style, while allowing me to tell them what I needed. I’m an actor who sings and have always wanted to do my one-woman show. With Kevin’s support, I am feeling more confident in my choices of songs, my stylistic choices, and my voice.” —Pooya Mohseni
