Mark Abramowitz's queer thriller Meet Up, in which I play the lead opposite a very handsome and scary Jordan Sangalang, is out of post and making the festival rounds. So far, the film has won 1st place jury prize at the 2017 Yellow Ape Film Festival and is taking on both coasts as an official selection of both the Eclipse International Film Festival (where it is also a finalist) and AltFest NYC.
I recently received a fan email through my website from a young gay man in São Paulo, Brazil, and he reminded me of the importance of queer visibility in media. To feel seen by content creators is a powerful thing that many people take for granted.
